The Karagwe District Cooperative Union (KDCU LTD) is a prominent coffee cooperative located in northwestern Tanzania, near Lake Victoria. Established in 1990, KDCU is dedicated to enhancing the economic and social well-being of its members. Its mission is to empower smallholder farmers through cooperative services that foster sustainable development.
Operating in the Kyerwa and Karagwe districts, regions responsible for producing approximately 90% of the Robusta coffee in the area, KDCU plays a central role in the local coffee sector. As a certified fair trade and organic organization, KDCU is committed to delivering high-quality coffee while promoting environmentally responsible farming practices.
