This organic certified Plantation A comes from the Idukki region near the city of Kerala and was processed by the Manarcadu Social Service Society (MASS), a cooperative that was founded in 2001. The cooperative, which now has 837 members, aims to help the community of farmers adapt to sustainable agricultural practices and thereby achieve a better livelihood while at the same time contributing to a better environment. This particular Plantation A is a blend of the Arabica varieties Chandragiri and S795. Chandragiri, a farmer-friendly variety developed by crossing Villa Sarchi with Híbrido de Timor, is known for its larger bean size and superior cup quality compared to many other Arabica types.
