ASOPROKIA, Excelso EP, Castillo, Colombia & Cenicafé 1

The Sierra Nevada is a remote mountain range in northern Colombia, distinct from the Andes, running through the heart of the country. Rising to 3,500 meters and located just 42 km from the Caribbean coast, it boasts the highest coastal elevation in the tropics—and one of the highest in the world. Coffee from this region is primarily grown by indigenous communities. This particular lot comes from the ASOPROKIA cooperative, a Fairtrade International–certified association of producers. ASOPROKIA supports its members throughout the entire coffee production and sales process, providing them with the necessary tools and ensuring high-quality standards are upheld.
