In 2018, Clearpath Coffee launched the El Puente project, establishing a washing station in Palestina, Huila. Its goal is to connect local small-scale farmers to the global specialty coffee market. Strategically located among many coffee farms, it simplifies cherry delivery. The initiative supports 214 small specialty coffee farmers by buying freshly harvested cherries, providing drying and storage infrastructure, paying prices equivalent to dry coffee, processing the coffee, and connecting them with buyers worldwide. Clearpath emphasizes sustainability by favoring natural and honey processing methods, which use 80% less water than washed coffees.
