Cooperativa Entre Ríos, San Marcos, SHB EP+, Caturra
Cooperativa Entre Ríos is a story of resilience and growth, shaped by a pivotal partnership with Los Volcanes Coffee. Founded in 2009 in Guatemala's San Marcos region, the farmers came together to form a cooperative after the founder’s passing, determined to carry on their shared vision. Initially part of larger cooperative groups, they chose to break away in 2018 due to corruption, establishing their independence with a renewed focus on transparency, integrity, and high-quality coffee. A turning point came with the exclusive partnership with Los Volcanes Coffee. This collaboration provided stability and set the stage for long-term growth. By 2019, the cooperative was consistently exporting two containers per year—securing not only market access but a sustainable future.
