The Cooperativa Cafetalera Flor del Café Limitada (COCAFCL), founded in 2009 in Lepaera, Lempira, brings together small-scale coffee producers to improve market access and strengthen their position in the industry. Operating a centralized wet mill to ensure consistent quality, the cooperative is also committed to inclusion, with women representing 20% of its members. By uniting, producers benefit from fairer prices, shared infrastructure, and reduced processing costs, while the cooperative actively promotes sustainable farming practices that help its members adapt to climate change and reduce environmental impact.
