Kerala, Parchment Scr 15+

Grown between 700 and 2,100 masl across the hilly landscape of Wayanad, in the Manananthavady subregion of Kerala, India, this robusta coffee comes from a cooperative of 9,638 small-scale farmers supported by Biowin Agro Research. Founded as a non-profit initiative of the Catholic Diocese of Manananthavady, Biowin took over and expanded the organic certification and agricultural programs of the Wayanad Social Service Society, with a clear mission: organizing and empowering the farming community to build a reliable, high-quality supply chain while securing farmers their rightful share of the market.

Facing the pressures of a changing climate, the cooperative promotes shade tree management, organic mulching, rainwater harvesting, soil and water conservation, and crop diversification with spices and fruit trees — building long-term resilience into every step of production.

The result is a coffee shaped by community, sustainability, and generations of farming knowledge.
