Guji Grade 1, Hambela, max. 6 def., Organic, sca 86+

Sourced from Dabaye Washing Station in Hambela, Ethiopia, this Guji Grade 1 coffee grows at an altitude of 2,200–2,350 metres above sea level. Surrounded by deep natural forests, waterfalls, and thriving agroforestry landscapes, the region offers ideal conditions for producing distinctive and complex coffees.

What makes this coffee special is its anaerobic processing. Unlike conventional fermentation, which involves exposure to oxygen, this experimental method ferments the coffee without oxygen, creating the potential for a unique flavour profile. Combined with the high-altitude growing conditions, this process highlights the distinctive character of the Guji region.

Exchange Trading also invests in local communities, reinvesting 5% of annual revenue into community services and development projects. Climate-smart initiatives, including water-efficient washing machines and solar drying beds, further support more sustainable coffee processing.
