Founded in 2012 by a group of 25 small coffee farmers in the mountainous region of Corquín, Copán, CAFESCOR has grown into a thriving cooperative of 440 members, including 85 women. Deeply rooted in rich and diverse ecosystems, the organization is committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
CAFESCOR leads initiatives in reforestation and responsible forest and water management. All coffee is produced under a strict ecological framework, using organic fertilizers developed at its own research center.
With a dedicated team of 38 permanent staff and up to 60 seasonal employees, CAFESCOR also supports approximately 10,000 workers during key periods of farm maintenance and harvesting. Beyond coffee, the cooperative invests each year in vital community projects - ranging from healthcare and education to environmental protection and infrastructure improvements.
